Gaffing

Gaffing in filmmaking is the art and science of managing light to create the desired visual atmosphere and mood on set. As a gaffer, I play a pivotal role in translating the director's vision into reality through meticulous planning and execution of lighting setups. Working closely with the cinematographer and production team, I design and implement lighting schemes that enhance the narrative by emphasizing key elements, setting the mood, and guiding the audience's focus. This involves not only selecting the appropriate lighting equipment but also fine-tuning the placement, intensity, and quality of light to achieve the desired cinematic effect.
